Ibn Arabi About Salahuddin Ayyubi - Ertugrul Ghazi Best Scene [Urdu/English]

Before discussing how Salahuddin Ayyubi and Ertugrul Ghazi were related, let’s look at the story from the epic scene of the series.

Once upon a time, there was a famous carpenter in Baghdad. During his last days, he carved a beautiful pulpit. A very beautiful one. From walnut wood, decorated with mother of pearl, it was eye-catching. There who saw it were amazed by its beauty. 

The news of the beautiful pulpit spread. So much that whoever came to Baghdad wanted to take the pulpit to their mosques. His answer would always be the same. He would say: No, this pulpit belongs to Al-Aqsa Mosque. 

People would get bewildered as Jerusalem was occupied by Crusaders and Masjid Al-Aqsa was in the hands of Christians. The  carpenter would give the same reply every single time. This is all I can do. I am a craftsman & I make pulpits. 

As time passed, the pulpit story was heard in all the cities. While everyone was telling each other how beautiful the pulpit was, the story was heard by a boy only seven or eight years old. But, he focussed more on the will of the carpenter rather than the beauty of the pulpit. 

40 years passed and he took that pulpit and placed it in its rightful place in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Today, people know that boy as Salahuddin Ayyubi. The hero, the tiger of Islam who liberated Jerusalem from 88 years of occupation. 

Salahuddin Ayyubi & Ertugrul Ghazi Relation. 

Curious to know how Salahuddin Ayyubi was related to Ertugrul Ghazi? If your concerned is about the family root, then let me make it clear that Salahuddin Ayyubi and Ertugrul Ghazi belonged to two different ethnic groups; Kurd and Turk respectively. 

Born in a Kurdish military, Salahuddin Ayyubi rose to become the Sultan of Egypt and Syria. Not only did he established a Ayyubid state but also liberated the city of Jerusalem from Crusaders occupation. 

Needless to say that both spanned different eras of history. Al-Aziz Muhammad, the grandson of Salahuddin Ayyubi was the ruler of Aleppo when Ertugrul was just struggling to secure his tribe from the attacks of Crusaders. 

Season first of the show Dirilis Ertugrul series portrays how Ertugrul thwarted every possible attempts of Crusaders to destabilize the Ayyubid state.

So, I don’t think you would have any doubt when I say there was no direct contact between Salahuddin Ayyubi and Ertugrul considering the different era they spanned. 

However, Salahuddin Ayyubi did inspire Ertugrul in his quest of establishing an empire that would unite the Muslims. These preconditions led his son Osman I to establish the famous Ottoman Empire that lasted for more than 600 years.
