How Can the Quran Act as a Source of Guidance

Quran as source of guidance

In the modern era, everyone is in a hurry and hustle. If you are in trouble or you need some advice, you need to seek guidance. But no one has time to stop for you. People are so busy in their routine life and business and have no time to guide you. For this reason, every community has its own book of rules and laws. For Muslims, it is Quran. Muslims have faith that Allah has revealed Holy Quran to direct them to a righteous path.

Quran - The Holy Book

Quran is considered as a great and divine book of Muslims. Allah Almighty has sent Quran to enlighten the hearts of believers. The Holy Quran holds the words of Allah. It was therefore revealed on the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The whole Quran is originally in the Arabic language and is translated into many languages so that people of any linguistics can easily understand the message of Allah that HE has sent to HIS last Messenger in the whole duration of twenty-three years. The Quran has a total of 114 surahs, 30 siparah, 558 ruku and 6666 verses. Every single word has lessons and guidance hidden in it for the worshippers. The beauty of the Quran lies in the fact that the Quran can change the life of every reader but no one can change even a single word of this Holy Book. It is the same from the very first day and will remain the same till the day of Judgement. William Muir said,

“There is probably in the world no other book which has remained twelve centuries (now fourteen) with so pure a text.”

The Holy Quran is the major religious book for Muslims, and it is helpful in providing directions in their worship routines, religious ceremonies, and family customs.

Quran - The Best Source of Guidance

Quran is a source of intellectual, philosophical and spiritual guidance for the entire humanity. Its all messages revolve around the oneness of Allah Almighty, the objective of sending humans into this world, belief, and the awareness of Allah. Reasoning and wisdom are also highly valued in the Quran. In these forms of human comprehension, the Quran does more than satiate the senses; it leads one to realize the consequences.

The Quran differs from the previous sending of Almighty Allah in that it is revealed to all human beings in this world without biasness, and no one can modify a single word of it; it remains in the same state in which it was revealed.

Allah Himself has taken responsibility for the Holy Quran. It is stated in Quran:

“Without any doubt, we sent down the message and we will assuredly guard it from adulteration.”

The Holy Quran contains numerous stories about various Prophets, tribes, and cultures. In truth, each one of these stories has a series of lessons in direction, warnings for distracted and wisdom for mankind. Our goal should be to learn those teachings of enlightenment from these stories.

This goal is explained by the fact that the Holy Quran declares itself to be a book of guidance.

How Quran provides Guidance?

The Quran is the scripture of Allah, the Creator of the entire world, and He owns every word in it. Allah made this universe in such a way that His rewards benefit people, and His book (Quran) is the ideal source of guidance for His followers. Being a complete manual for everyday life, this Holy book delves into every matter of human and behavior. It provides help in all aspects including marriage, prayers, inheritance, divorce, trade and gender issues.

The Quran discusses both this worldly life and the next life. The Islamic code of rules takes up one-third of the book, followed by the history of humanity and religious, ethical, financial, societal, and political challenges that individuals confront on a daily basis.

Quran provides solutions to all problematic matters.

No one is born with issues; rather, problems are produced by humans on their own, and they result from a lack of authentic direction. So recite and learn Quran regularly for the solution of evry single problems.

The best remedy to any problem is to cease generating problems, which we may do by following sound counsel that keeps us safe from damage, darkness, and difficulty. The Quran is a book that provides advice, and its author is the creator of the universe.

It is stated in Quran:

The Quran itself is light”.

(5:15)

Almighty Allah has also mentioned in Quran,

“A book we have sent down to you so that you may bring forth mankind from the darkness into the light.”

(14:1)

Quran provides directions to gain success.

No one but Allah has knowledge about the world and the secrets to attaining success in life. Almighty has a complete understanding of His creation, including where success and failure reside. As a result, Allah's verses in the Quran have a bigger influence on human existence. The Quran emphasizes the difference between good and evil so that people might avoid destruction or loss.

Allah says,

“Verily We have revealed the book to you in truth for instructing mankind. He that receives guidance benefits his own soul, but he that strays injures his own soul.”

(39:41)

In another verse, HE says

“.. a guidance for mankind and clear evidence of guidance and discrimination (between wrong)”.

(2:185)

Quran teaches comparison between Right and wrong.

As the Quran provides a guideline, proof, distinction between good and evil, and tangible illumination for the believers, guiding them in the correct direction and assisting individuals in all their concerns. Is it possible that it would not advise people correctly in its own concern, despite the fact that it is their most pressing urge?

In Quran, Almighty Allah said

“And (as for) those who strive hard for Us, We will most certainly guide them onto Our ways”

(26:69)

At another point, it is said that,

“Lo! this Qur’an guides to that which is most upright”.

(17:9)

The Holy Quran is a book that grants men understanding via excellent logic. It demonstrates the correct route to man by recounting the stories of the Prophets and countries.

It inspires him with stories, encouragements, and warnings. Allah says

“Such are some of the stories of the unseen, which We have revealed unto you, before this neither you nor your people knew them. So persevere patiently, for the end is for those who are righteous”.

(11:49)

Quran provides authentic and implementable information

All the messages, teachings and lessons in the Quran are authentic. There is not a single word that is fake or false. The Quran takes a unique approach in that its teachings are directed at the general benefit of humanity and are based on the options available to him.

All the teachings are from the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), this is because Allah has made it clear to people that everything in Quran is practicable and everyone can implement its teaching in their lives.

In Surah Al-Inaam, it is said that

“This Qur’an has been revealed to me that I may warn you and whomever it may reach.”

There are 99 names of ALLAH to recite Quran. In Quran. Every name of ALLAH has its own benefits for guidance and all life problems.

Conclusion

The Holy Quran is a wisdom book and a source of guidance. Those who read the divine book of Allah (Quran) and put it into practice in their lifestyles, will get high satisfaction in this life and the other after death.

The wonderful Quran's words declare that it is the most essential and comprehensive book of knowledge. In all aspects of our life, we should seek direction from the Quran.
